Playback Singer Abhijit Bhattacharya Speaks Out Against Salman Khan and Arijit Singh

Mumbai: Bollywood playback singer Abhijit Bhattacharya attacked actor Salman Khan. Abhijit has faced criticism for speaking out in support of Salman Khan in the 2002 ‘hit and run’ case in which his car rammed into a roadside bakery, killing a man sleeping on the pavement and injuring four others. His response was that homeless people should not sleep on the streets like ‘dogs’. In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, when asked about his current relationship with Salman Khan, he openly said that he has never spoken in support of Salman and that Salman does not even deserve his hatred.

Salman Khan is not a god. He believes himself to be so. How can people think that I will speak in support of someone like this who only promotes artistes from enemy countries? Salman is the one who replaced Indian singers and gave Pakistanis a chance to show their loyalty to Pakistan. This is all planned. I don’t think he even deserves to be hated’, said Abhijit Bhattacharya.

Abhijit Bhattacharya also criticized Arijit Singh who sang the song in Salman’s film ‘Tiger 3’. Abhijith also accused Salman of singing the song with Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan instead of Arijit in the film ‘Sultan’.

‘it’s a shame. Arijit Singh is the biggest singer of the country. He should never have begged Salman to give him a chance. Instead, he should have protested. Sometimes I even doubt whether Arijit is a Bengali’ – said Abhijit Bhattacharya.
