PS4 Remote Play allows players to play their console remotely with a DualShock 4 controller and a smartphone, tablet or computer as a screen. Sony wants to expand the possibilities by also including the Nintendo Switch.

Sony was primarily against the idea of Remote Play on Nintendo Switch. This policy suddenly changed. Indeed, the Japanese manufacturer comes from investigate asking players if they would like to have the Remote play on new devices such as Apple TV, Android TV and especially the Nintendo Switch. A rather promising survey
It’s a Reddit user who claimed to receive a mail from Sony offering him a survey. The questions focused on Remote Play functionality, possible improvements and how players use it. The proposed improvements are parental controls, keyboard / mouse compatibility, support for new controllers, etc. The Japanese firm is also exploring adding PS1 / PS2 titles. Two survey questions caught the public’s attention.
First, Sony would have in mind create a DualShock controller with integrated screen which would be more suitable for Remote Play. Players could therefore play directly on this new controller, a bit like the PS Vita is used in Remote Play. Sony even mentioned the possibility of having the Remote Play without internet connection and even without PS4!
In addition, with the upcoming arrival of PS5, adding the Nintendo Switch as a compatible Remote Play device would to broaden the audience. Remote Play could even be integrated into PS Now streaming service to allow users to play a multitude of games on multiple devices.
