Play and experimentation at the Science and Technology Fair – 2024-04-11 11:07:35

Laughter reaches the entrance. Every weekend at the Science and Technology Exhibition of the Eugenides Foundation, young and old have their own space to experiment, play and discover the laws that govern the Universe.

“Here you can touch and play with everything” is the advice that is heard the most inside the Exhibition area, with eyes first focusing on the exhibit on the evolution of the Universe and gradually young and old visitors discover the rest of the experiments as well .

The permanent exhibition of the Eugenides Foundation features more than 50 interactive exhibits and experiments that cover a large part of everyday questions around physics, chemistry, biology, robotics and IT.

One of the special features of the Science and Technology Exhibition is that visitors freely roam and experiment in the space, where they generate electricity, play with light and sound, operate and program robots, unlock mathematical concepts and try to break laws of engineering.

On the second floor of the Exhibition, amateur scientists synthesize chemical compounds, learn about the structural components of life such as DNA and the cell, observe through professional microscopes. At the same time, they can program a robot to go through a maze by themselves, learn about the evolution of computers or assemble the fastest computer piece by piece.

Visitors can browse the exhibition at their own pace, spending as much time as they decide on each exhibit. All experiments are accompanied by tablets with instructions and explanations of the phenomena, while members of the scientific staff of the Center for Science and Technology are on site, ready to add an extra challenge to the interaction with the exhibits! Through interaction, children and parents discover fundamental scientific principles and modern technological achievements in an experiential, fun way.

The exhibition is recommended for ages 10+ and is open to the public every weekend between 11am-7pm. On weekdays they are open only for school groups.
