The “small” FC Olympique Strasbourg club Koenigshoffen 06 (FCOSK 06) created a surprise by winning this Saturday January 7 against Clermont-Ferrand (Ligue 1) in the 32nd final of the Coupe de France 2022-2023. In the next round there will therefore be a team from Strasbourg but it will not be the Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, eliminated the day before by Angers on penalties (4-5).
The small thumbs of FCOSK 06 thus create the feat of the day in the Coupe de France. Thus they reach the sixteenth finals of the competition. At the Emile Stahl stadium (Vauban district) in Strasbourg, the Regional 1 players kept Clermontois in check by closing the match 0-0. They won on penalties worthy of the World Cup final. (4-3)

During the 2018-2019 edition, FC Olympique Strasbourg was eliminated by the Greens of Saint-Etienne in the 32nd round.
