Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan qualify for the semifinals Singapore Open 2022. They had to go through a three-game battle to get rid of MR Arjun/Dhruv Kapila.
In the match at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Friday (15/7/2022), Ahsan/Hendra had lost the first game first. However, they were able to overcome the Indian double resistance and eventually won 10-21, 21-18, 21-17.
Ahsan/Hendra have always been left behind from the start of the first game. Had stuck to the Indian pair, Ahsan / Hendra then started to fall far behind.

Ahsan/Hendra trailed 7-11 at the interval. Having difficulty in catching up, Ahsan / Hendra fell behind 8-17 until they finally lost the first game 10-21.
The match was tight in the second game. Both pairs are chasing points and taking turns taking the lead.
The Indian pair made several mistakes of their own with hitting the net. Ahsan/Hendra had a narrow 11-10 lead at the interval.
Ahsan/Hendra were overtaken and trailed 14-16. However, they won three consecutive points to turn 17-16 ahead. Ahsan / Hendra secured the second game 21-18 after the return of the Indian players went wide.
Ahsan/Hendra started the third game with a 5-2 lead after Ahsan’s flick service outwitted the Indian players. Had to maintain the advantage, Ahsan / Hendra were finally chased. Two mistakes from Ahsan saw the Indian pair equalize the score at 10-10.
Ahsan/Hendra lead 11-10 at the interval. They won a rally to take a 15-12 lead.
Ahsan’s attempt to snatch the ball in the net actually caught the Indian pair approaching 18-16. Ahsan/Hendra finally won 21-17 after the return of the Indian players came out.
Qualifying for the semifinals of the Singapore Open 2022, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan will face the winner of the match between Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin and He Ji Ting/Zhao Ho Dong.
