Sandro Platzgummer’s small hope of a place in the New York Giants’ squad for the National Football League (NFL) season starting Thursday has not come true. At the entry deadline on Saturday evening (CEST), the 23-year-old Tyrolean did not appear in the Giants’ 53-man squad.
Platzgummer can continue to train with the four-time Super Bowl winner. “It’s my first year, there are very few players who can be very successful right away. In general, there is a relatively low probability that I will be on the field this year“, Platzgummer had emphasized just a few days ago.
