It was during an interview with IGN Japan (via IGN) that studio head Atsushi Inaba and Scalebound director Hideki Kamiya received questions about the announced project. Der kunne Inaba bekrefte at Kamiya fortsatt langter etter å vendeur til det kansellerte prosjektet.

Platinum-sjefen selbst er helt med, og ønsker å ta diskusjonen med Microsoft.

– In interviews you often hear developers politely saying “Yes, if we had the opportunity it would have been cool to work with it again”, but that’s not what we mean. Both Kamiya and I are serious – we really want to work with Scalebound. I want to discuss it very much with Microsoft,” Inaba said.

Kamiya – who addressed a huge apology to fans after the game was cancelled – suggested that development had come a long way, and that it seemed pointless for Microsoft to just let all the work go to waste.

– Phil! Phil! Let’s do it together, Kamiya said, addressing Xbox boss Phil Spencer.

PlatinumGames is also busy with Bayonetta 3, Babylon’s Fall and a mysterious game called Project G.G.
