Switzerland has several leading international research institutions in the field of artificial intelligence spread throughout the country. At the same time, the importance and use of AI as a basic technology in more and more research areas and areas of application is increasing, writes the Swiss Academy for Technical Sciences (SATW) in a statement.
The platform was presented to the public for the first time at a data science conference. As the SATW writes, this data processing and curation is very complex, but the Sairop is probably unique in Europe.
Sairop is open to the public. There are currently research institutions, AI projects starting in 2021 and specialists who are doing research on and with AI in Switzerland. According to SATW, the data is continuously supplemented and updated. In addition, the platform is to be enriched with further information in the future in order to provide a better overview of AI research and the effects on society.
A longer-term goal of Sairop is also to network the AI research community more closely, to improve the visibility of researchers and to offer companies access to initiate projects.
