Plastic artists from this town have painted 35 murals on the same number of walls on roads in this district, as part of the actions to rescue public spaces, and contribute to having safer environments so that the population lives in a climate of peace. and tranquility, on the part of the city council.
The mayor’s office reported that there are currently 35 murals made by plastic artists from the municipality, who portray the essence of the communities, their customs and traditions, their gastronomy, filling every corner with color.
It is urban art that privileges freedom of expression, bringing color and giving life to public spaces with works that address various themes such as sports, gastronomy, promoting reading, nature, traditions, among others.
The murals have been painted in spaces in popular neighborhoods such as Ampliación Palo Solo, Constituciónntes 1917, El Bosque, Federal Burocratica, La Unidad, Loma del Carmen, San Bartolomé Coatepec, San Fernando, San Jacinto, Santiago Yancuitlalpan, as well as in the Mercado Municipal “25 de Agosto” and the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Culture House, located in San Juan Bautista.
The city council reported that in this way the talent of local urban artists is disseminated in Huixquilucan, who, in addition to expressing emotions and messages, seek to raise awareness among residents about current social situations.
With these works of art, the creativity and innovation of all those interested in painting murals is encouraged, especially among young people, keeping them away from crime and bad habits, prioritizing recreation spaces, the authorities stated.
