In his residence, located in Cagua, Aragua state, the Venezuelan plastic artist Antonio Otazzo was assassinated, according to what was revealed this Friday, July 17.
On his social networks, Eleazar Urbáez disclosed that Otazzo, a muralist and sculptor, had his life beaten and stabbed.
A woman is detained for the murder.
Neighbors noted that Otazzo opened the door of his home to a beggar-looking couple who were carrying a car and a child in their arms. The motive handled by the authorities is theft, reported El Universal.
They added that the criminals were surprised when they tried to take Otazzo’s vehicle, loaded with various items and appliances. The man managed to flee and the woman was arrested by the Cicpc, inside the house.
Born in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Ottazo lived more than 60 years in Venezuela.
On Twitter they condemn the murder. Belchy Rodríguez said: “91 years old and she was still betting on this country, her legacy will remain forever!”
