Incident at the Technical University in Sofia. A person was injured when plaster fell from the arch of the school, emergency services told NOVA. The injured man is 45 years old. He was admitted to UMBAL “St. Anna’ with multiple injuries.

The university’s arch was repaired three months ago by an outside firm, the university management said. A few days ago, however, cracks were noticed in the plaster. The incident probably occurred while troubleshooting. There was a scaffolding built at the site, from which the victim fell.

At the scene of the accident, a NOVA team saw a possible worker of the construction company giving a statement through the police. “What’s done is done,” the man said and declined further comment.
