PT Hutama Karya (Persero) opens up about plans to continue the Bogor Ciawi Sukabumi toll road construction project (Bocimi) which was previously worked on by PT Waskita Karya (Persero).
Main Director of Hutama Karya Budi Harto said that currently there are other parties who are interested in this project.
“After the government discussed Bocimi being continued by HK, it turned out that there were other parties who were interested commercially,” he explained in Jakarta, Friday (29/9) 2023).
He said that this interest would be better for the country and could result in greater savings.
So, with the interest of other parties, HK will focus on working on projects in Sumatra.
Previously it was reported that HK confirmed taking over the Bocimi toll road project, but continued the toll project that had not been completed by Waskita Karya. However, until now it is still in the discussion stage, meaning it is not final.
“So there is talk of a government PMN program because Waskita is busy with its restructuring. So the PMN will be used by Hutama Karya and the Rp. 12.5 trillion (PMN HK) later, the original plan was that Hutama Karya was asked to complete Bocimi phase (section) 3 and the Kapalbetung-Palembang Toll Road,” he said.
Budi emphasized that it was not a takeover of the project but that Hutama Karya was only continuing to complete the unfinished sections. He also said it was not a share takeover.
“So instead of completely transferring it, HK only built what was not finished,” he stressed.
“Everything is not 100%, Waskita has already worked on the two sections that were inaugurated yesterday. There are many concepts, take over shares, but we are going in, joining. If he builds 50%, maybe fifty–fiftywe don’t buy it completely,” he added.
Budi also said that there was another company interested in continuing the Bocimi toll road project, namely PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (PT SMI).
