“Rimi” store building manager SIA “Plesko Real Estate” plans to build a shopping center on Ķīšezera Street between Čiekurkalns and Mežaparks, according to the information submitted to the deputies of the Riga City Council City Development Committee.
On September 13, the members of the committee will have to decide on the submission of the developed local plan for public discussion.
The purpose of the development of the local plan is to ensure the building parameters necessary for the construction of the trade and service object. It is planned to change the current use of the territory from the center building area with the permitted number of floors of 25 and more floors to the mixed center building area with the permitted number of three floors.
The company intends to build a trade and service facility aimed at local residents of Mežaparks and Čiekurkalns area.
As a result of the implementation of the plan, the territory will be arranged / improved, envisaging the location of the building and architectural solutions taking into account the characteristic features of the historical buildings in the vicinity of Mežaparks.
As reported, the turnover of SIA “Plesko Real Estate” last year was 34.436 million euros, which is 7.7% more than in 2019, but the company’s profit grew by 3.9% and was 7.112 million euros, according to “Firmas.lv ” information.
The management report of the company’s annual report states that last year the company continued to manage the existing facilities. Last year, the construction of the Rimi distribution center was completed. The real estate is managed in accordance with the previous practice and no changes are planned.
Plesko Real Estate has no employees and business activities are outsourced by related companies, including Rimi Latvia.
“Plesko Real Estate” was registered in 2000. The share capital of the company is 6,576,500 euros and its sole owner is the Swedish company “Rimi Baltic”.
