A suspect in planning an attack on the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte was detained in Amsterdam. The man posted a message in an open Telegram group asking the “revolutionaries” to carry out his plans.

In December 2020, under a photograph of the king with the government, he wrote that “most Dutch people hate this Rutte.”
“What would it cost to shoot them all? From the car. Open the window. Take the pistol. Open fire,” he wrote.
He also allegedly discussed his plans with others, sometimes in private, and also talked about the “storming of parliament” and the shooting of Rutte while riding his bike in the street.
He is also suspected of trying to buy weapons.
