Owner of the Supermercados BH chain and sponsor of Cruzeiro, Pedro Lourenço went through a moment of fright this Thursday (9/2). In the early afternoon, the businessman’s aircraft, which was traveling from Belo Horizonte to Unaí, in the northwest of Minas Gerais, had to make an emergency landing in Brasília.
As found out by super sports, the Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft, manufactured in 2013, suffered damage to one of the turbines due to an electrical failure. So, for safety reasons, the pilot requested a landing at Brasília Airport, instead of going down to Unaí. The trip on this stretch took about eight minutes.
When the aircraft landed in Brasília at 12:28 pm, firefighters were already on site to contain a possible fire. However, there was no problem in that regard, and the occupants emerged unharmed. Pedrinho was traveling alongside BH partners and some family members.
The plane belongs to Safra Leasing S/A Arrendamento Mercantil, but is operated by Supermercados BH Comércio de Alimentos S/A. That is, Lourenço’s company does not own the vehicle, but is responsible for its operation, maintaining a lease agreement with the company linked to the Safra Group.
The report tried to contact the Military Fire Department of the Federal District and the Brasília Airport, but none of the bodies gave feedback on what happened until the publication of the article.

Pedro Lourenço’s relationship with Cruzeiro
Supermercados BH occupied the master space of the club’s shirt between 2020 and 2022, but was replaced this season by the sponsorship of the British bookmaker Betfair.
In the last year, Pedrinho also developed a great friendship with the current manager of Cruzeiro, Ronaldo Fenômeno. The former five-time world champion striker owns 90% of SAF Celeste’s shares.
