Plane lands emergency in Dallas – Telemundo Dallas (39)

A pilot of a small plane had to make an emergency landing after the landing gear failed and had to make several turns to consume fuel and avoid a fire if he crashed when lowering the Cessna-type aircraft.

The small plane took off from Dallas Executive Airport around 9:30 a.m. this Thursday and had to make several turns before attempting an emergency landing.

“We circled around for an hour troubleshooting the systems,” said Ryan Short of Red Wing Aerial Photography, who took control of the plane when the landing gear wouldn’t lower. “We had a pretty good idea of what could be wrong.”

And everything was recorded on video when a single-engine plane with registration 177RG Cardinal RG finally landed at 11:18 am without problems and with only one of the three wheels that collapsed upon contact with the runway.

“It’s not my first rodeo, I’ve had a lot of experiences flying airplanes and, you know, sometimes you just have to recognize that you’re in the situation and execute the best you can and hope things turn out well,” Short said after leaving the aircraft along with another man who accompanied him.

No one was injured.
