Plane crashes near high school, 2 people die and 2 houses burn

SAN DIEGO, iNews.id – A small plane crashed just a few blocks from a high school in the City of Santee, near San Diego, California, USA, Monday (10/11/2021) local time. At least two people were killed and two others injured in the incident.

Two houses were also damaged by fire posed by plane crash that, according to officials and local media. “Around 12.00 noon today (time United States of America), a small twin-engine plane crashed into two houses in Santee,” tweeted the City of Santee account on Twitter, quoted again Reuters, Tuesday (12/10/2021).

According to an NBC San Diego report, the twin-engine Cessna C340 plane was heading to Yuma, Arizona, from Montgomery Field in San Diego. However, the vehicle ran into trouble and was trying to land at Gillespie Field, which is near a high school, when it crashed.

As of this writing, it is still unclear how many people were on the plane.

Several vehicles around the site accident get burned. However, firefighters (damkar) managed to extinguish the fire before it spread to other houses.
