Rescue teams are still evacuating the Yeti Airlines plane that crashed in Nepal. It is said that there are survivors who have been evacuated to the hospital.
Reported AFP, Sunday (15/1/2023), the assistant head of the Kaski district, Gurudatta Dhakal, confirmed the findings of 29 bodies and also a number of survivors. But he has not mentioned the details of how many survivors it is.
“We have recovered 29 bodies so far and are also evacuating some survivors to hospital for further treatment,” Dhakal told AFP.
Previously mentioned the fuselage of the Yeti Airlines plane that crashed on Nepal split. One part is on the hillside, the other falls into a river gorge. The rescue team had difficulty reaching the location which is in a ravine between 2 hills close to the airport.
Local aviation authorities said the plane last made contact with the airport from Seti Gorge at 10.50am (0505 GMT). After that the plane crashed.
“Half of the fuselage is on the side of the hill,” said a local resident named Arun Guest.
He claimed to have arrived at the location a few minutes after the plane crashed. He also mentioned when other parts of the plane fell into the ravine.
“Another part of the plane fell into the ravine of the Seti river,” he added.
It is reported that 40 people died from the Yeti Airlines plane that crashed in Nepal. The plane was previously reported to have been carrying 72 people.
