The office of the mayor of San Salvador, through the Corps of Metropolitan Agents (CAM), carried out an operation to verify the legality of the commercial activities located in 20 Av. Norte, from 5 de Noviembre Street to 29 Oriente Street, in within the San Salvador Orderly and Safe Plan, promoted by Mayor Mario Durán.
“On this day we are carrying out an operation to verify if the companies have the permits to operate legally, which are issued by the municipality, according to article 81 of the ordinance for the coexistence of citizens of the municipality of San Salvador”, said the ‘Inspector of the CAM, Concepcion Ramirez Artiga.
The Citizen Tranquility and Business Verification operation was carried out in: automotive workshops, sale of automotive components, workshops for the repair of household appliances, metal structures, among others.
«Out of the total number of companies verified, only 7 operate within the regulatory framework and 7 do not have the authorizations issued by the municipality; therefore, 8 death notices were inflicted for violation of article 81 and one for article 49 of the ordinance on the cohabitation of citizens “, added Ramírez Artiga.
The CAM also sanctioned the obstruction of public roads and the use of green areas in violation of Article 49 of the aforementioned ordinance.
The chief town reaffirms its commitment to strict compliance with the various municipal ordinances and other regulations in force. Furthermore, it invites entrepreneurs to carry out the related registration procedures.
