Plagiarism Allegations Against Music Director Anirudh Ravichander Gain Momentum for Leo’s Background Score

The allegations of plagiarism against music director Anirudh Ravichander are getting stronger for the background score of Leo. The alleged track is ‘Ordinary Person’ from Leo. It is alleged to be a copy of a track from the popular British television series Peaky Blinders.

The track on Peaky Blinders was composed by Belarusian musician Alexey Stanulevich, better known as Otnika, and Arte Mikhayenkin. The controversy is that Anirudh composed ‘Ordinary Person’ by copying Otnika’s song ‘Where Are You’. Many people mentioned Otnika and posted about plagiarism on social media. Otnika has now responded to the plagiarism allegations.

‘Thanks for the messages about Leo. I see everything. But it is not possible to answer everyone. Email and Instagram are flooded with messages about this. Similarly, the comment box of the track “Where Are You” on YouTube. Things are unclear now. We are looking into it. Hope to let you know about things later. But till now I have not raised any allegations against anyone’ Otnika’s response is through Instagram.

Etnica’s ‘Where Are You’ was uploaded on YouTube in 2019. Currently, the song has reached 61 million viewers.

Anirudh Ravichander has become one of the most valuable music directors in the Indian cinema world in a very short period of time. Anirudh’s musical presence can be seen in all the hit films from Kollywood. Anirudh’s magic in all the recent films like Vikram, Jailer, Jaawan has influenced the moviegoers so much. However, neither Anirudh nor Leo’s crew have commented on the current controversy.
