Places to See Fall Foliar in New York – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – The fall season started on sunday and with that the beginning of the change of leaves that decorate the land with their beautiful colors.

For those who like these changes, you can find them mostly in upstate New York and the rest of northern New England until early October. The Adirondacks, Catskills, Thousand Island Seaway, Central New York, Greater Niagara, and Albany / Saratoga regions have already started showing that range of colors and the foliage is just starting to appear.

Now there’s a new tool to track the best places to peep a leaf each week. The weekly report is compiled by volunteer observers for the state Department of Tourism’s “I 馃挆 NY” program.

Many places are just starting to see the leaves change, although areas closer to New York City may not start changing until October. Keep track of the changes using the interactive map on this site.
