Places to see Christmas lights in Dallas and Fort Worth this 2022

This year there are several places in North Texas to visit and take pictures in front of the Christmas lights with your loved ones and friends.

We share a list of places where you can see Christmas lights and decorations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Grand Prairie, Addison and other cities in the Metroplex.

in the arboretum

What: A full-size Christmas village to visit, a 12-day Christmas program, seasonal classes, Christmas tea and other events to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.

When: From November 10th to December 31st. Available dates and times vary by event.

Where is it: Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas

Cost: $12 to $20 per person during the day and $10 to $35 per person during the afternoon and evening

Prairie lights

What: A driving tour filled with Christmas lights and sculptures, photos with Santa, a Christmas village and more.

When: From 24 November to 31 December, every day from 18.00

Where is it: Lynn Creek Park, 5610 Lake Ridge Parkway, Grand Prairie

Cost: $50 to $200 per vehicle, depending on size.

Lights at the Dallas Zoo

What: A Christmas tour of the Dallas Zoo with lights, sculptures and Santa’s workshop.

When: Selected evenings 17 November – 1 January 5.30pm – 10pm

Where is it: Dallas Zoo, 650 South RL Thornton Freeway, Dallas

Cost: From $14 per person

‘Christmas in the Square’ in Frisco

What: A completely free Christmas light show with music to enjoy as a family.

When: From November 18th to January 4th from 6pm to 10pm

Where is it: Frisco Square, 8843 Coleman Boulevard, Frisco

Christmas at Six Flags

What: A visit to the amusement park with live shows, lights, rides and lots of holiday fun for all the family.

When: From November 19 to January 1, available dates and times vary

Where is it: Six Flags Over Texas, 2201 Road to Six Flags, Arlington

Cost: From $45 per person depending on the day

Vitruvian lights

What: A Christmas light show to experience on foot or by car. There will also be photos with Santa Claus for free.

When: From 25 November to 1 January from 17:00 to 23:00

Where is it: Vitruvian Park, 3966 Vitruvian Way, Addison

Cost: Free

‘Light on the Lake’ in Little Elm

What: A Christmas party with a light show, ice skating, photos with Santa, a carousel and more.

When: From November 25 to December 24, hours vary according to the day

Where is it: Little Elm Park, 701W Eldorado Parkway, Little Elm

Cost: Starting at $26 for adults and $16 for children ages 3-12

Enchant Christmas

What: A Christmas experience with tours of lights, sculptures, Christmas villages, visits from Santa Claus, ice skating and many opportunities to celebrate Christmas and take pictures.

When: From November 25th to January 1st from 5.30pm

Where is it: Fair Park, 3809 Grand Avenue, Dallas

Cost: $34 for adults, $29 for seniors 65 and older, $18 for children 3 to 17

Gift of lights

What: A Christmas show in the form of a car ride with lights to experience as a family.

When: From November 24th to January 1st from 6pm

Where is it: Texas Motor Speedway, 3545 Lone Star Circle, Fort Worth

Cost: $30 per car on weekdays and $35 per car on weekends

Lights on the Farm

What: Outdoor Christmas lights and festive animations to enjoy as a family surrounded by decorations, Christmas trees, food and more.

When: From November 25th to December 18th from Friday to Sunday from 6pm to 9pm and from December 21st to 31st from Wednesday to Friday from 6pm to 9pm

Where is it: Heritage Farmstead Museum, 1900 West 15th Street in Plano

Cost: Starting at $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 3-12

At Klyde Warren Park

What: In the park located in front of the Dallas Museum of Art, one of the lungs of the city center, the trees are decorated with Christmas lights this time of year.

When: The lighting of the Christmas tree will take place on 3 December from 3 to 6 pm

Where is it: Klyde Warren Park, 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas

Lights at Interlochen en Arlington

What: The Lights of Interlochen in Arlington are one of the oldest and largest Christmas traditions in North Texas, as 200 homeowners in this northwestern neighborhood celebrate the season by decorating their homes with holiday lights and themed displays. The tour is done by car.

When: From 16 to 25 December, from 6 to 11 pm

Where is it: The entrance to the neighborhood tour is at the corner of Westwood Dr. and W. Randon Mill Road.

Highland Park road tour

What: Visiting the beautiful lights and homes of Highland Park has been a great tradition of the holiday season for many years. The leisurely pace of a horse-drawn carriage ride allows you to see and appreciate the beauty of Highland Park’s homes and lights at this joyous time of year.

When: from 27 November to 3 January. The walks are done at night.

Where is it: Visit the ornate houses on the streets between Mockingbird Lane south and Lovers Lane north, from US-75 to Preston Road. For carriage rides, head to 4711 Westside Dr.

Cost: The street tour is free. 4 to 6 passenger carriage ride: $231

Farmers Branches Walk

What: The city has seasonal lights at various points. The main office is The Grove at Mustang Station, where the Christmas tree is located. Other places to see Christmas lights are The Grove, Valley View Road and the City Police Station.

When: from 17 November to 1 January

Where is it: At The Grove at Mustang Station Park, 12700 Denton Drive, and along Valley View Lane, from Josey Lane to I-35 N.

Cost: Free

Segoville flea

What: One mile drive-through to see the little lights at the Seagoville Flea

When: From 11 November every day until the end of the year, from 5pm to midnight

Where is it: At the Seagoville Flea, located at 13950 W. US Hwy 175, in Seagoville

Cost: $30 per car, no matter how many people are in it or how big the vehicle is

Little lights at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden

What: Visit the Fort Worth Botanical Garden in the afternoon with fairy lights decorations while enjoying a hot cocoa. The trees and paths are decorated with holiday lights that are ideal for photographs.

When: From 18 November to 8 January, on selected nights

Where is it: Fort Worth Botanic Garden, located at 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Fort Worth

Cost: $28 for adults, $18 over 12, free for children under 2, $5 discounts for each garden member

Burkman Vacation Home

What: The Burkmans, a family from Frisco, decorate their home for Halloween and Christmas each year, and it’s open to the public. The property is lit up with more than 100,000 Christmas lights.

When: Opening date to be confirmed this December

Cost: Free, but cash or Venmo donations are accepted
