Places one, two, two and four for young German show jumpers –

Nations Cup weekend in Gorla Minore. The juniors and young riders had their turn yesterday, pony riders and children today. Conclusion for the Germans: mixed results.

The Italian hosts were the benchmark on Friday. In the juniors, the Italians won with a total of twelve penalties. Tobia Lorusso and Conte Ferrari delivered the discarded result in both rounds with eight penalties each. Giulia Gatti Bardelli and Clarisse came off the course with four and zero penalties. The heroes of the hour were Greta Lepratti and Mercy van’t Ruytershof, who remained clear in both rounds. There were four mistakes for Martina Ferrari on Aberdeen.

The German U18 team took second place with a total of 16 errors. Best couple, because double zero, were Mick Haunhorst and Ireland. Henry Munsberg on Nola van St. Maarten and Fabio Thielen on Stakaya had four penalties each in both rounds. Elena-Malin Reitzner and Guiness had eight penalties in both rounds and were discarded. Third place went to Switzerland with 20 penalties.

Young riders with four faults tag

In the Young Riders, the Italians were unbeatable with just four penalties. Giacomo Casadei and Let’s Go FZ had presented with a clear round and had a knockdown in the second round. Those were the four mistakes. Elena Datti and Nebbia delle Schiave were not at fault at all. Martina Simoni and Dalvaro were eliminated in round one, but were clean in round two. Lorenzo Correddu was able to spare his Ultos the second round after a clean-shooting ride because his team’s victory was already certain.

The Polish team finished second with 16 penalties ahead of the Swiss with 20 penalties. For Germany there were 24 errors and thus fourth place. Julian Holzmann made four and twelve mistakes on Iberia. His three teammates all had four penalty points twice: Henning Athens and Tenterhof’s Cantuccini, as well as Sophia Burgtorf on Constantin and Vicky Venschott on Quite Water.

Superior pony team

The victory of the German pony riders was just as clear as the Italians dominated the U21 Nations Cup. They won with four penalties ahead of the Swiss with 21 penalties and the Italians with 30 penalties. At first it didn’t look good at all. Antonia Häsler and Clarissa started and had a knockdown. 17 penalty points were awarded to Helena Becker and Christoph Columbus. But then the national junior champions Jolie Marie Kühner on Del Piero and Eva Kunkel with Magic’s Boy ST started to catch up. Both remained completely without fault and blame. Antonia Häsler and Clarissa also stayed clear in round two. Only for Helena Becker it didn’t want to work that way. In the second round, she and her Christoph Columbus were eliminated.

Children Second

In the age group of U14-year-olds on big horses, the hosts were again in the lead. Giorgia Baldi and Valery Vanitosa presented with a clear round, but dropped out in the second round. Daphne Giunti and Touche d’Arrogance had four and zero penalties. Maria Francesca Di Properz and Vasco de Talma were eliminated in the first round with 16 penalties and then finished with four penalties. Four and zero penalty points were the results for Giovanni Vincoli in the saddle of Qitana VDV. The bottom line was twelve errors for the Italians.

The German quartet had one more time error. As with the ponies, the best rider was Jolie Marie Kühner, the daughter of Max Kühner, who rode the DSP gelding Lionel Messi here. She had the one time fault on lap one, but was otherwise not guilty of anything. Ava Ferch and Quintessa Lox came off the course with four and zero penalties. Antonia Häsler and Callia S each had a down in both rounds. Cecilia Huttrop-Hage and Sis is Susi HH were eliminated in both rounds with four and eight penalties. Team Poland took third place with 16 penalties.
