PL star reveals: ‘I wrote Ronaldo’s name on my jersey with a pen’

Cristiano Ronaldo is a reference for many players. In the Premier League, a star made a pretty funny revelation about his childhood.

Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson is a real fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. In his childhood, the latter wanted to resemble his idol at all costs. If he did not have the means to afford a jersey of the Portuguese star, Nicolas Jackson found another way to have the name of CR7 flocked to another jersey. And he did that himself with a pen.

“When I was young, I loved Cristiano Ronaldo. I had his name on a jersey that I always wore. Not a real jersey because they are expensive… but I had a jersey that I put 7 on, Ronaldo with a pen,” he said. “I did it myself when I was a kid. Of course, I pretended to be him, but it was difficult to watch his matches because you had to pay.”

“I played with my school shoes or barefoot. Maybe it was when I was 16 that I got my first boots. My mother bought them for me, they weren’t expensive, they weren’t original boots. They were second-hand boots. At first I didn’t play with them because I wasn’t used to them. I used to play barefoot. So it took a while, it was a bit strange,” Jackson says.
