The chairman of the National Electoral Commission Sylwester Marciniak announced that the announcement of the results of the presidential election will be possible on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. According to the exit poll, in the second round of elections Andrzej Duda and the president of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski, who is seeking re-election, will face.

At the evening press conference, the chairman of the Polish Olympic Committee judge Sylwester Marciniak announced that on the day of the election there were 295 incidents – 25 suspected offenses in connection with the election and 270 offenses. He also talked about situations from polling stations. In one of the premises, the voter threw her ID card together with the voting card. To recover the evidence, the woman had to wait for the ballot box to be emptied.

A commercial with pneumatic and pressure weapons was found in the lobby in front of the polling station. – The owner of this weapon was immediately determined, who went home, leaving this commercial – said the head of the Polish Military Contingent. A person who had previously registered for correspondence voting came to vote in another place. There have also been occasions when voters have removed the voting card from the polling station.

The chairman of the National Electoral Commission reminded that, in accordance with the Act of June 2, waiting for votes from abroad was extended from 24 hours to 48 hours. – If there are any problems with the protocols from 169 circuits abroad, then we wait a maximum of 48 hours, i.e. until Tuesday to 9 pm – he pointed out. – But I hope that there will be no such problems – he emphasized. According to the head of the Polish Military Contingent, the announcement of results is possible on Tuesday. – I think it is maximum Wednesday morning – added Sylwester Marciniak.

From a late poll survey conducted by Ipsos shows that incumbent president Andrzej Duda gained 42.5 percent support. Rafał Trzaskowski, a candidate of the Civic Coalition, came second with the support of 30.3 percent of respondents. The podium closes – according to the survey – independent candidate Szymon Hołownia, who scored 13.5 percent.

Krzysztof Bosak came in fourth with 7.1 percent support. Further down were Robert Biedroń with 2.5 percent support and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz with 2.5 percent of the vote. Other presidential candidates did not receive more than 0.5 percent support.
