PKS officially supports the pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) in the 2024 presidential election. PKS still hopes that the Democratic Party will return to the Coalition for Change.
“It’s time to keep getting angry. Don’t let your emotions drag on, don’t, but we can’t force it. If you’ve broken up, what can you do,” said PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi at the PKS DPP, South Jakarta, Friday (15/9/2023) .
Aboe said his party was still continuing to communicate with the Democrats. However, his party still cannot impose what the Democrats want.
“Yes, please make phone calls,” he said.
Aboe assessed that all Democratic cadres were good and pious people. Therefore, he believes that the unity between the Coalition for Change and the Democrats will continue.
“Believe what I say. His heart is still a pious person, a good person in the Democrats. Surely that is the truth, togetherness will come,” he said.
It is known that PKS officially supports the pair Anies Baswedan and Cak Imin in the 2024 presidential election. This official support was decided after the 9th PKS Syuro Council meeting today.
The attitude of the Democratic Party
Previously, the Head of Bakomstra of the Democratic Party, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, emphasized the position of the Democratic Party that it had moved on from the coalition supporting Anies. Herzaky said that his party would not return to the KPP.
“It’s clear, we are moving on. There is no CLBK (old love blossoming again). That’s enough,” said Herzaky at the Democratic DPP, Central Jakarta, Saturday (9/9).
Herzaky said that it was enough that the Democratic Party had been betrayed. He admitted that his party did not want to return to Anies’ coalition.
“Don’t let yourself be betrayed once, and you’ll still be a bitch. It’s enough that we’ve been ghosted. Yes, we won’t refuse. What’s certain is that if it were from us, we wouldn’t have such a thing as CLBK,” he said.
