PKS President Ahmad Sheikh he said his party would not carry it anymore Ann Baswedan he became a candidate for governor of Jakarta in Regional elections 2024. Syaikhu said Anies has now become a national figure.

“With Pak Anies coming in as a 2024 presidential candidate, I think he has become a national figure.

Syaikhu regrets that Anies’ status as a regional figure will decline again. According to him, PKS will continue to make Anies a national figure.

Syaikhu also hopes that Anies will support PKS workers to run as Jakarta gubernatorial candidates later. He reminded that his party had tried to win Anies in the presidential election.

“So, maybe in the future, if yesterday we were trying to nominate Mr. Anies and work as hard as we can to win Mr. Anies as a presidential candidate, I thinking in this Philkada that it is time for Mr. Anies to support PKS workers. run,” he said.

PKS is one of the political parties supporting Anies-Muhaimin in the 2024 presidential election along with PKB and NasDem. However, this pair lost to the pair Prabowo-Gibran.

PKS was also one of the parties that supported Anies in the 2017 DKI Jakarta regional elections. At that time, together with Gerindra, PKS supported the Anies-Sandiaga Uno duet.

The Anies-Sandi couple managed to win by defeating Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, alias Ahok-Djarot Saiful Hidayat.

Anies’ name is again expected to run for the 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Election after he lost in the 2024 Presidential Election.

In fact, NasDem Party DPP Chairman Willy Aditya said that general president Surya Paloh had invited Anies to run again in the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.
