PKS General Secretary Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi Believes Anies Baswedan Will Run in 2024 Regional Elections

General Secretary PKSAboe Bakar Alhabsyi, believes that several parties want it Ann Baswedan back forward in Regional elections 2024. However, Aboe also believed that PKS had records on this matter.

“Regarding the issue of the regional election, everyone on average wants Anies to run again, so if it is appropriate, why not? ” said Aboe at the DPP PKB office, Central Jakarta, Thursday afternoon (25/4/2024).

Aboe said Anies already had a lot of voting power. The reason, according to Aboe, is that Anies is already a national figure after running in the 2024 presidential election.

Nevertheless, Aboe admitted that he prioritized PKS workers to be nominated in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election 2024. Besides, he said, his party won many seats in elections legislative 2024 in Jakarta.

“However, PKS wants more because Mr. Anies has 25% of his vote at the national level, so we hope that a cadre from PKS will become a small champion in the seat,” said Aboe.

“You don’t need much, at least 18 seats are enough to elect the governor,” he said.

For information, PKS was one of the parties that supported Anies-Sandiaga in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Regional Election contest together with Gerindra. Both won from Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok-Djarot Saiful Hidayat.
