SMEs highlight office assets DKI Jakarta Department of Transportation Massdes Arouffy whose family often flaunts their lavish lifestyle on social media. PKS considers that the nominal assets reported by Massdes are unreasonable.
“It doesn’t make sense, an ASN whose reported assets are Rp. 1.8 billion, but his wife’s bag is worth Rp. 1.5 billion,” said DKI Jakarta DPRD Member of the PKS Fraction Muhammad Taufik Zoelkifli when contacted, Saturday (1/4/2023 ).
Taufik urged Massdes to provide an explanation regarding his assets in public. According to him, Massdes must explain whether his family has other sources of income so they can live a luxurious lifestyle.
“Pak Masdes has to explain to the public why his wife has an expensive bag? Are his wife’s assets separate from her husband’s? And then his wife has a business or gets a really big inheritance,” he explained.
As a civil servant, Massdes has the right of reply to explain the problems that are happening. Taufik urged the Provincial Government of DKI as Massdes’ superior to issue sanctions if his explanation contradicted the facts.
“Pak Massdes has the right of reply to clear his name and the name of the DKI Jakarta Pemda ASN Corps. If the answer is not acceptable, then there must be a sanction from his superiors,” he said.
“If there are allegations of corruption or gratification, they must be processed according to the applicable legal procedures. It’s not necessarily removed. It depends on the size of the mistake. Maybe just a transfer if the mistake is considered light,” he continued.
Taufik also warned the state civil servants (ASN) not to flaunt their wealth. As a servant of the state, Taufik views ASNs as having to be careful in their actions.
“If you want to be a rich person and Flexing-flexing. Be an entrepreneur. But you also have to work hard first and you have to use a method that is lawful, thoyyiban,” he said.
“ASN are servants of the state who are paid from the APBN or APBD, namely people’s money. So the consequence is that ASN must be careful in carrying out their rights and obligations. They have a great responsibility to the people and to God Almighty,” he continued.
Previously reported, the DKI Provincial Government had examined Massdes Arouffy after his wife and child went viral showing a luxurious lifestyle.
Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Syafrin Liputo said the inspection was carried out by the Inspectorate and the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) who were examining Massdes.
“Of course we have reported this matter and are currently conducting an inspection by the supervisory element of the DKI Jakarta Provincial government and the personnel development element. Inspectorate,” said Syafrin Liputo when met at Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta, Friday (31/3).
The lifestyle of the wife of one of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency officials is in the spotlight on social media. Not only his wife, Massdes’ daughter also showed off luxury bags, from the Lady Dior Bag for IDR 60 million to Balenciaga for IDR 17.6 million.
