PKS Coordinator Clarifies Support for Prabowo-Gibran After Being Tricked at Training Event

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Coordinator of West Java Prosperous Justice Party (PKS Jabar) Cadres and Sympathizers, Asep Maulana, clarified his statement supporting candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Asep admitted that he was actually invited for training at Wisma Haji Ciloto, Cianjur Regency, Wednesday (6/12/2023).

However, when they arrived at the location, it turned out that the event had turned into a declaration of PKS cadres supporting Prabowo-Gibran. In fact, PKS officially supports pair number 1, Anies Rasyid Baswedan-Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar.

“Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. I am Asep Mulyana. I want to clarify the training event held at Wisma Haji Ciloto in the name of PKS West Java. I feel trapped by this situation,” said Asep in a clarification video spread across various social media channels, Thursday (7 /12/2023).

According to Asep, it turned out that the event committee actually invited training participants to support Prabowo-Gibran.

“It turns out it wasn’t training, but support for candidate pair number 2, namely Prabowo and Gibran. For that I apologize for my carelessness, wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,” said Asep.

Budi Kristanto said a similar statement. “I’m Budi Kristanto, I want to clarify regarding the declaration of Candidate Candidate Number 2. Honestly, I was trapped by people who don’t know who they are, I don’t know them either. I’m also not the coordinator of this activity. Anyway, I still choose number one,” said Budi Kristanto in the video broadcast.
