PKO Ekstraklasa: Bartosz Kapustka may play against Raków

Kapustka is a 14-time representative of Poland. After successful performances in Euro 2016, he became a player of Leicester City, the then English champion. However, it did not exist in the UK, it was loaned to Freiburg and the Belgian Oud-Heverlee Leuven.

– Another training session awaits us. If everything is okay, then Kapustka will be called up for the match with Raków and has a chance to play. I am very positive about his disposition, taking into account how long he had been interrupted in the game. Now there is a question of introducing it wisely into our system – emphasized the coach of the Warsaw team.

Legia has already won victories in the first qualifying round of the Champions League with Linfield FC (1: 0) and in the 1/32 final of the Polish Cup with GKS Bełchatów (6: 1). According to the coach, however, the season will really begin now.

– The season begins for good when the top league starts. This is the most important emotional game; our good old league. This is something that is exciting, he emphasized.

Legia will start defending the title won in July with an away match against Raków. Due to the reconstruction of the facility, the inhabitants of Częstochowa still play their matches in Bełchatów.

While Kapustka has a chance to play, another player from Portugal, Rafael Lopes, who recently played for Cracovia, will not play.

– Rafael works individually all the time and we will not take any risks in his context. I prefer it to be at our disposal only after the national team break. Let the whole next week be enough to get rid of any risk of injury for good – revealed Vuković.

Raków was a fan last season. He stayed in the league without major problems and he finished the game in 10th place. Vuković expects his closest rival to make progress.

– This is a club that left a positive impression. I believe that is not the case here. You can see the idea, work from scratch, above all the work of the trainer. Raków will not be the team of one season. This is a team that is still able to go up – he emphasized.

Serb still remembers the previous confrontation with Raków in Bełchatów, which ended in a 2: 2 draw.

– In that match, there was a lot, too much danger under our goal. No other team has created as much a threat as Raków. This shows how difficult Saturday’s game will be for us. We have to prepare ourselves thoroughly for it – pointed out Vuković.
