We played brilliantly and deservedly won our fifth victory of the season. In the 28th round of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, Å KS players defeated Radomiak Radom 3-2 after a great spectacle. Kay Tejan scored two goals for the Łódź team, and Engjell Hoti added one goal.

Just before the match in U2 Å KS Store galante headgear for Å KS fans appeared, which we announced with the slogan: hats off. And the same could have been said about coach Marcin Matysiak’s team after the final whistle, because Å KS played one of the best matches not only this year, but also in the entire difficult period for us. season. The recent conqueror of the Polish champion returned to Radom without points and with three goals.

Although at the beginning of Sunday’s match the guests from Radom had the ball more often, Å KS created several good opportunities to score a goal in the first quarter of an hour. Kay Tejan had a hand in two of these three really promising situations: first, the Dutchman took the ball after a great pass from Engjell Hoti, but he probably waited a bit too long before taking the shot , as a result of which his dribble along the penalty area line ended with the defender; then, in a similar situation, the striker played to Michał Mokrzycki, but the shot of the Å KS midfielder was blocked by a Radomiak player, as was Dani Ramirez’s shot a moment later, and when, after a cleverly played free kick and confusion in the sixteen, the ball finally went into the net thanks to Husein Balić, the referee found the Austrian offside.

The Ełkaesia team, not even a bit discouraged, continued to attack the goal guarded by Gabriel Kobylak with enthusiasm and were rewarded for it in the 19th minute. Dani Ramirez intercepted the ball in the visitors’ half, made an accurate, perpendicular pass to Kay Tejan, who passed between two defenders and passed the goalkeeper and despite he directed the ball into the net from a rather sharp angle (1:0). What’s more, this really impressive fragment of the game by the players from Łódź could have quickly resulted in a second goal – it was just a matter of time, after Kamil Dankowski’s cross was attempted by Husein Balić.

So there was a lot going on at the King’s Stadium. Gabriel Kobylak’s goal was attacked by attack after attack, because the Łódź players were sometimes able to move to the vicinity of Radomiak’s penalty area with two or three passes, and an impartial observer would certainly not be able to guess which of these two teams closes the league table and which one is in the middle. Between the 37th and 38th minute, Radomiak’s goalkeeper saved the guests twice from losing a second goal – first by defending a hellishly strong shot from a distance by Kaya Tejana (Riza Durmisi scored brilliantly for the Dutchman here ), then catching the ball after hitting Rahil Mammadov’s head. Our best 45 minutes of this season were crowned just before the break with one more quick action initiated by a long pass from Kaya Tejana (from his own half) to Husein Balić, a nice exchange in the visitors’ penalty area and a stinging shot from the Austrian, which was handled by Gabriel Kobylak.

Unfortunately, just a moment after the game was resumed, the first dangerous action of the day by coach Maciej Kędziorek’s team resulted in an equalizing goal. The key here was the great reception of the ball by Luis Machado, which in turn allowed Jardel to take a shot from several meters – the ball even brushed Levent Gulen’s head and went in ‘ and into the net next to the confused Dawid Arndt (1:1). Fortunately, the loss of the goal did not depress us Knights of Spring – in the 55th minute, Michał Mokrzycki sent the ball over the defenders’ heads from deep in the field, straight to the speeding Kaya Tejan, and the Dutchman repeated his spectacular dribbling with him hay match with Piast Gliwice – he ran into the penalty area from the right side, cut to the center and took a very precise shot, after which the ball fell into the net right next to the post (2:1).

The guests had to make up for the losses again, what’s more, right after the second goal for Å KS, the referee punished Rafał Wolski with a second yellow card and, consequently, a red card (for a foul on Kamil Dankowski). , so Radomiak had to do best in the last two quarters of an hour. Despite this, the visitors tried to change the result and even took the initiative for a moment, while Å KS focused on defense and after receiving the ball, looked for opportunities in a counterattack. After one of them, in the 71st minute, Husein Balić boldly moved down the left wing, played to Piotr Janczukowicz in the middle of the penalty area, who received the ball with his back to the goal and withdrew her consciously to Engjell Hoti. The latter’s beautiful technical shot from the penalty area gave us the third goal (3:1).

The Ełkaesia team didn’t have enough and in the 83rd minute, after another quick exit from their own half, they should have increased their lead. Stipe Jurić rushed towards the goal, played to another substitute left unattended – Antoni Młynarczyk, but the latter missed the goal from a few meters. A little earlier, Dawid Arndt was up to the task on the other side of the pitch (he saved, among others, Jardel’s shot and Dawid Abramowicz’s flat shot), and the Å KS defense led by Rahil Mammadov and Levent Gulena did not let herself be fooled, successfully stopping, together with the rest of our players, several promising attacks by the visitors. It is true that in added time, Guilherme Zimovski scored a second goal for Radomiak (3:2) after a nice shot from a distance, but we did not allow our opponent to score any more on Sunday.

The players of the Łódź Sports Club won their fifth and, let’s add, fully deserved victory of the season, playing one of the best and most impressive matches this season. Thanks to this, we left the last place in the table. In the next series of matches, the ŁKS team will face Lech Poznań at the Króla Stadium. You also have to see it live!
