Fuel for the holidays will not be more expensive. It is a few days – assures the president of PKN Orlen Daniel Obajtek.
“We are trying to keep this fuel at this price. But when it comes to the post-Christmas period, anything can happen. We will do everything, we are a responsible company, to make fuels in Poland one of the cheapest in Europe – said the president of PKN Orlen Daniel Obajtek in Polsat News.

Independence from raw materials from Russia
The president of Orlen referred to the issue of dependence on Russian oil. – There were two contracts, which we were constantly annexing, we were reducing them, the volume of oil purchases, conducting the largest process of diversification, which was a difficult process – he noted.
These contracts no longer exist. These two contracts accounted for a total of 20 percent. crude oil to Poland, because we diversified supplies earlier. One with Rosneft expired in January, we did not renew it. The second contract with Tatneft, when our oil supply was stopped after President Biden’s visit, we had an argument that would allow us to terminate this contract. And on that basis, we terminated this contract without penalty. This actually happened a few days ago.
