Mexico City. Justice officials and federal judicial branch (PJF) officials working in different entities of the country set up camps with tents where the groups that have blocked access to the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies spend the night and rest, in an attempt to prevent the approval of the judicial reform.
The movement of judges, magistrates and secretaries of agreements was joined yesterday by workers of the Judicial Branch of Mexico City, who after marching on Paseo de la Reforma and holding two rallies, one in front of the building that was the headquarters of the Attorney General’s Office and another at the Angel of Independence roundabout, joined the blockade at the Senate.
At least 700 employees are taking part in the sit-ins. According to messages posted on social media, they will remain there for three days and will later be replaced by the same number of PJF members.

CDMX employees join forces
Yesterday, Mexico City’s Judicial Branch workers blocked access to the buildings of the Judicial City and closed the Niños Héroes Avenue to demand respect for the separation of powers. In response to the protests, the local Judicial Council agreed to suspend the procedural terms and deadlines in all jurisdictional proceedings.
For the third consecutive day, workers decided to occupy the buildings of the judicial body, which has prevented the development of hearings, actions and procedures, to express their rejection of the approval of the judicial reform.
Workers from federal courts and tribunals in Michoacán, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí and Oaxaca, among other states, are expected to arrive soon to join the demonstrations.
Rallies in BC and Jalisco
Meanwhile, PJF workers went to the facilities of the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Baja California to ask students to get involved in the movement against judicial reform.
In response, students from the institution, located in Otay, Tijuana, demonstrated against the amendment in the school hallways and streets, with the aim of raising awareness among the population about its implications.
In Jalisco, a caravan of hundreds of vehicles arrived at the Guadalajara airport with PJF employees to continue their protests against the reform.
