Piura: they develop a livestock project for more than S / 17 million

InfoMercado.- More than 10,000 livestock producers from eight agricultural agencies in the Piura region have been receiving technical assistance in health under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture.

The technical assistance consists of training and the provision of vitamins, antiparasitics and medicines for cattle, sheep, goats and guinea pigs.

These actions are part of the project “Creation and Improvement of Research Services, Technology Transfer, Health and Livestock Marketing in the Department of Piura”.

The livestock project has an execution term of three years with an investment of 17,654,686.32 soles.

This productive project prioritizes the genetic improvement of the different species of livestock, with the aim of improving the quality of the meat and its derived products.

Likewise, the development of competitiveness in small producers, the improvement of livestock with artificial insemination, fertilization, and improvement in the marketing of their products are contemplated.

The project promotes the associativity of the producers of Huancabamba, Ayabaca, Morropón, Sechura, Chulucanas and the San Lorenzo and Chira valleys.
