‘Pitbull’ Cruz and ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela pass the scales ahead of their fight in Los Angeles | TUDN Boxeo

The Mexicans Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz y Jose ‘Lightning’ Valenzuela passed the scale before their fight this Saturday, August 3 in Los Angeles, California, for the super lightweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA) that you can watch on Box Televisa.

The first to step on the scale was ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela who was accompanied by Jose Benavidezfather of David Benavidezto give 139.8 pounds.

While the Pitbull registered a weight of 140 pounds; the champion went up on stage accompanied by regional Mexican music and his father, Isaac Cruz, who in front of the cameras lifted the super lightweight title of the WITH that will be at stake.

“Tomorrow we will proudly go out with the victory representing all of Mexico,” said ‘Pitbull’ Cruz before leaving a message for Rayo and his team. “We are going to show that we are the true Mexican style.”

At the end of the weigh-in ceremony, the final confrontation took place; Pitbull raised his belt, while ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela proudly carried the Mexican flag.

The Box Televisa card will include another world title fight; in the main event, Terence Crawford will seek the WBA super welterweight title and the interim WBO belt that belong to Israil Madrimov to win four different divisions after previously winning lightweight, super lightweight and welterweight.
