The merger of parties that currently operate within the United Right camp has been the subject of public debate for several months. — We are striving for this (merger), we are talking about it with representatives of Sovereign Poland and I hope it will be a success, said PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński recently.

We wrote about the possibility of merging PiS and Sovereign Poland on Onet. Our information shows that the position of PiS vice-president may be at stake for one of the members of Sovereign Poland. For now, Patryk Jaki, who replaces Zbigniew Ziobro, seems to be a natural candidate. — There is no need to check how many people are reluctant to do so. There will be an agreement, the president and Jaki will sign it and then announce the decision – an important PiS politician says about the merger of both parties in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
Prime Minister Morawiecki’s co-worker: this is not a good idea
It turns out, however, that the merger of coalition partners is not welcomed by all PiS members. One of them is Michał Dworczyk, a close associate of former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. – I believe that the current formula of cooperation, i.e. a kind of coalition between Law and Justice and Sovereign Poland, was absolutely good, it worked, and that is why I am against the merger of Law and Justice with Sovereign Poland – said Dworczyk.
In his opinion, such a decision “will prevent PiS from winning the elections” and “from regaining coalition opportunities.” – In my opinion, this environment (Sovereign Poland – ed.) is largely to blame for the lost elections in 2023 – he said on TVN24.
Dworczyk believes that in the Sovereign Poland environment “on the one hand, there are a lot of valuable people”, but “on the other hand, there are a lot of people in the leadership who are cynical, radical and focused on their individual or party political interests.”
When asked who was “cynical and evil”, he said: – I don’t want to focus on names. – But if Minister Ziobro can say about Prime Minister Morawiecki that “in politics you cannot be – with apologies – a softie”, then I can say about Minister Ziobro that in politics you cannot be – with apologies – a calculating cynic playing only on themselves, said Dworczyk.
