Many years MEP of Law and Justice in a social media post he announced that he would not run for re-election and that he was resigning from current politics.
“I have the last votes and the session of the European Parliament ahead of me. There will be no continuation. Almost a year ago, I made the decision and informed the party management that I would not run as a candidate and that I was leaving current politics,” Poręba wrote on the X platform.

As he added, this was and is a conscious and very well-thought-out decision.
“I leave with my head held high and the feeling that we have achieved a lot together in recent years. That’s why I joined politics, to do something specific that will serve people for years. I am sure that all these, from Sanok through Rzeszów to Tarnobrzeg and Stalowa Wola bridge, road and railway transport projects, Via Carpatia, restoration of railways in Mielec, built sports halls, football centers, heated grass fields, Stal Mielec in the Ekstraklasa and many other activities that I supported, will serve and give people a lot of joy for years “- he declared.
He added that everything he promised was achieved together with many fantastic people.

“No one will take this away from me. That’s why I’m leaving with a sense of pride, relief and joy. Having won all the elections and the best percentage results in Poland. On my own terms. It wouldn’t be possible without the support of thousands of people who trusted me and gave me a lot of strength over the years. and courage,” wrote Poręba.
He emphasized that he always tried to help and be available. “Many of these friendships will last a lifetime. This is the most important thing to me. I would especially like to thank my wonderful family. My wife, parents, parents-in-law and children. Without their love and support, I would not have achieved anything,” he concluded in a statement.
Poręba was a PiS MEP in the 7th, 8th and 9th term of the European Parliament (since 2009).
