It is about Dariusz Zagdański (PiS) and his speech at the December session of the Council of Ministers of Zamość, when at the point provided for interpellations he read out his letter addressed to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Zamość. He informed in it about the possibility of committing a crime by Błażewicz on the occasion of a week-long trip to Crete. In the second half of September last year, employees of the municipality went to it by plane from Rzeszów.
– The trip was probably financed from the employee social benefit fund and it would not be surprising, because employees of the city hall, despite financial problems, have the right to use this type of trips and benefits, but Piotr Błażewicz, who is not an employee of the office, participated in the trip city and has no right to benefit from the support of the company’s social benefits fund – Zagdański justified.
He said that the case should be investigated to clarify whether Błażewicz did not use public fundsto which he was not entitled, whether he had followed all the procedures to take part in the trip and whether he “made statements in this respect and whether they were true”.
As it turned out later, he did not send his letter to the prosecutor’s office, but submitted it to the magistrate. Nevertheless, the investigation is ongoing.
– The letter with the notification of the possibility of committing a crime was forwarded by the City Hall to the District Prosecutor’s Office, and from there to us according to the jurisdiction. Since Dariusz Zagdański’s notification concerns Article 231 of the Penal Code, we could not initiate preparatory proceedings, only an investigation, which happened – informs Jarosław Rosołek, deputy district prosecutor in Zamość. He emphasizes that at this stage actions are taken “in the case” and not against anyone.
– I had some doubts and suspicions, and the prosecutor apparently shared them, since such a decision was made – thinks Dariusz Zagdański, who published the notification about the initiation of the investigation received from the prosecutor’s office on Wednesday on his Facebook profile.
What about Blazewicz? – I am innocent, I have nothing to reproach myself for and I am calmly waiting for the decision of the prosecutor’s office – he says and does not want to give any other comments.
We have to wait for the investigators’ decisions, while in the Public Information Bulletin of the City of Zamość you can find the answer that the president of Zamość gave to Zagdański’s interpellation. Andrzej Wnuk said that Piotr Błażewicz, who has never been and is not an employee of the municipality, was unable to apply for or receive funding from the Social Benefits Fund. and he was not given any money. The president also recalled that this was exactly the information that a member of the social committee gave Zagdański during the session in December.
Either way, this case will end up in court. – A private indictment in which my client accuses the councilor of slander was sent to the District Court in Zamość in January. However, because Dariusz Zagdański is known there, because he works as a probation officer, the judges were excluded and now the Supreme Court will indicate which of the courts will deal with the case in the interest of the judiciary, informs Przemysław Kobel, Błażewicz’s attorney.
Let us remind you that disapproval of Zagdański’s actions, those from the December session, but also earlier ones, for which he was admonished, was categorically expressed by the PiS councilors from Zamość, excluding him from the club.
