Before the election, the pirates argued that ministers should have enough time to perform their duties and should not neglect their duties. However, Ivan Bartoš and Olga Richterová are clearly not going to leave the Chamber of Deputies after the expected transfer to the government.
–
The head of the Bartoš party would be replaced by a representative of STAN, which would expand the club of Mayors to 34 deputies, while the Pirates would weaken to three deputies.
–
The chair after Bartoš in the Ústí nad Labem region would be occupied by the mayor of Trmice, Jana Oubrechtová, on behalf of STAN.
–
If she resigned herself, another deputy from STAN, Milan Šťovíček, would take office. Only after he resigned from the mandate would it be the turn of the Pirate, Kateřina Stojanová.
–
Olga Richterová, who may head the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, would be replaced by Pirate Substitute Eva Tylová, Deputy Mayor of Prague 12.
–
The Pirates Act could only partially be helped by the law on the sliding mandate, which allows a deputy to leave the government, during which he temporarily and voluntarily hands over the mandate to an alternate, and also allows a return to the Chamber of Deputies.
–
Under current law, a deputy can no longer return after resigning. However, this does not change the fact that Bartoš is followed by a substitute from STAN.
–
“We have been enforcing the Sliding Mandate Act for a long time in the past and we will, of course, continue to enforce it,” Bartoš replied on Monday to a question from Práva as to whether the pirates will give up their parliamentary mandate if appointed.
–
He thus avoided the question of what would happen if the sliding mandate did not yet apply.
–
According to Bartoš, however, the pirates will do their utmost to ensure that the law applies to the planned government as soon as possible. “As soon as it is valid, of course we will follow it,” Bartoš said.
–
However, if the law were to apply to this term, it would mean that the new governing coalition would have to prepare and approve the law as amended.

Austrian: Pirates don’t have to be afraid
“Of course, we will appeal to the fact that people should devote themselves fully to one job, it is always better,” said STAN chairman Vít Rakušan in the media last week.
–
If the pirate deputies resigned from the mandate without the validity of the law on the sliding mandate, he said, the Mayors would show generosity.
–
“Pirates don’t have to be afraid, we would certainly be able to solve it so that there would be a pirate representative,” said the Austrian, alluding to STAN deputies.
–
“We will see how they react to this, I will not force them personally,” one of the STAN negotiators, the chairman of the parliamentary faction, Jan Farský, told Práva on Monday about the possible departure of pirate adepts from the Chamber.
–
The law on the sliding mandate lies in the Senate, which should discuss it on October 26, ie before the formation of a new government and the establishment of a new House.
–
Even so, it would only apply to the next House, which will be established after the next election. A flash amendment would therefore be necessary for the amendment to apply to the current House. Or the Senate can overturn the law now and a new regulation can be launched.
