Patkowski was appointed president of PANA on November 11, 2023. Previously, from April 16, 2020 to November 10, 2023, he was Deputy Minister of Finance and Chief Spokesman for Public Finance Discipline. From 2021, he sat on the Financial Stability Committee. He was also a member of the Government Work Programming Team and vice-chairman of the Council of the Polish Economic Institute.
The Polish Audit Oversight Agency – according to information on the agency’s website – operates pursuant to the Act on Statutory Auditors, Audit Firms and Public Oversight. Ensures that statutory auditors properly conduct audits of financial statements and provide assurance services other than statutory audits and related services. The activities of PANA are supervised by the Minister of Finance. (PAP)
