Pioneers: Screening of ‘Pioneras: Más Vale Mañas’ Captivates Audience at Jaca Conference Center

The example and strength of the ‘Pioneers’ captivated the public attending the Jaca Conference Center last night. The screening of the documentary ‘Pioneras: Más Vale Mañas’by El Kappa Producciones and the subsequent colloquium on female entrepreneurship in rural Aragon are part of the activities to mark the week of Women’s Day.

The event included the participation of the president of the La Jacetania Region, Olvido Moratinos, and the head of Social Action, María Victoria Mora, together with the director of the documentary, Vicente J. Aguilera, the producer, Cirilo Comín, and two of the protagonists, Salz Medina and Ana Belén Puyal. The towns of Villanúa, Hecho and Zuera also hosted the screening and debate days ago, within the program of activities on the occasion of 8M.

Four experiences

Teaching English in Pyrenean towns, a traveling escape room, 3D digitalization facilities for cinema or marketing in the sale of oil are the four pioneering experiences of rural entrepreneurship and female empowerment that are narrated in the documentary.

The documentary recorded in Fago, Santa Cruz de la Serós, Loporzano, Agón, Zuera and Andorra, locations where the four women narrate their innovative entrepreneurship initiatives. Guillermo Aguilera is the author of the music of the audiovisual work, which has the support of the Government of Aragon, La Jacetania Region and the town councils of Zuera, Andorra and Loporzano.
