AC Milan close the year with a positive result, while keeping a distance from Inter Milan at the top. Milan coach Stefano Pioli also talk about the chance of winning.
AC Milan ended 2021 with a 4-2 victory over Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, Thursday (12/23/2021) early morning WIB. The victory at once broke the negative trend.
Previously, Milan had lost two and drawn one in the last three matches in all competitions. The victory over Empoli became even more important because they needed positive momentum for the turn of the year.
Rossoneri play jelly and relatively effective. Foster children Stefano Pioli only controlled the ball as much as 45% with a pass accuracy of 80%, but was able to record eight chances on target.

But Pioli was not discouraged. After all, Milan finished last season as a half-season champion but failed to win the Scudetto.
“When you lose some key players with certain characters, you miss them. The important thing is to stay competitive with the top teams,” he said.
“In the end we won the winter title last season, but we didn’t get the Scudetto. So the opportunity is wide open,” added Pioli.
