Pinto da Costa decided to support Ana Gomes in the presidential elections on January 24, the newspaper Público reported.
The same newspaper reports that Pinto da Costa called the former Socialist MEP to give him his support. It is recalled that the candidate, who competes without the support of the PS, defends, among other things, regionalization. A topic that is very dear to the Porto president and that was addressed by Ana Gomes in an interview with Porto Canal.
Now, Público says, this is what prompted Pinto da Costa, who accompanied FC Porto to Greece, to play against Olympiacos, calling the candidate.
