It’s just that the Ukrainian reality for the first time reached with cold fingers to the throat of the favorite of fate, the TV star, the media assassin and the former head of the Kiev regional organization of the Servant of the People party.
According to the allegations of the SBU, the State Investigation Bureau (SBI) and the General Prosecutor’s Office, at that time the journalist was still carrying out informational and subversive activities for the benefit of Russia, probably had the operational pseudonym Buratino and was part of a criminal organization created by the Russian GRU .
„The main task of this organization is to undermine the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discredit our country in the international arena. For this purpose, the members of the group received money from Russian military intelligence.” said the SBU.
Intelligence claims the politician is “distributed fakes about the top military-political leadership of our country.” One example is the spread of information about the interference of Ukrainian officials in the 2019 US presidential election, which Dubinsky spoke about in press conferences.
These are the so-called “Derkach tapes”, published recordings of conversations in 2015-2016 Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko with high-ranking guests, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, US Vice President Joe Biden and several others.
The scandalous information was published by the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, former employee of the SBU (and son of the head of the SBU) Andrey Derkach, who now names himself as the leader of a criminal group recruited by the Russian special services. But the funny thing is that in 2020, when the scandal happened, all this affected first of all the nearest competitor of the newly elected president – the loser Petro Poroshenko and his party, who desperately attacked Zelensky.
In the records “a person with a voice similar to Poroshenko” discusses the Minsk Agreements, the firing of Prosecutor General Pshonka by order of the Americans, and the nationalization of Privatbank. We can say that the current problems of US President Joe Biden began from there: then, while he was still in the status of vice president, he asked the Ukrainian head of state to remove the prosecutor who was investigating the corrupt actions of Biden’s son and the president of the oil company Burisma.
The Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation even opened a criminal case for treason against Poroshenko, and NABU – for abuse of power. By the way, at the end of the year it was closed due to lack of data that a crime had been committed, but Pyotr Alekseevich’s ardor was seriously cooled.
Sensations about his rival didn’t help Trump win, so the US responded by adding “hype-loving investigators” to the sanctions list and removing Dubinsky’s YouTube channel. Of course, Zelensky politically wisely betrayed his comrade-in-arms of yesterday, who was expelled from the Servant of the People faction and took offense. From 2021 to the present day, the chatty Kyiv puffer with a curly beard has become a fierce critic of the regime, saying “the truth about the corruption and unprofessionalism of the Yermak-Zelensky gang”.
And now, on the eve of his placement in pre-trial detention, Alexander publicly addressed the American journalist Tucker Carlson (who has already openly sided with Trump), “who will not be afraid to highlight the topic of political persecution of the only politician and journalist in Ukraine in the past who spoke about the corruption of senior officials in Ukraine and facts about the theft of financial assistance from the United States through the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in which deputies of the “Servant of the People” and employees of the Office of the President are involved.”
Surprisingly, the destruction of the political opposition and several TV channels that criticized Poroshenko, and after him the “Servants”, dozens of criminal cases with absurd charges, prosecution for alleged treason of politicians, journalists and just someone who writes seditious words on social media networks, do not worry the people’s deputy at all.
Only now did he worry, but he was still full of optimism. He expects that his (fabricated) case “it will be as significant for the Pechersk Court as the decision for Tymoshenko and Lutsenko was at the time”, and after the change of power of the “tyrant and dictator” in three months, Dubinsky will personally deal with the judicial reform.
But if after three months “the tyrant and the dictator” went nowhere, the former journalist, media assassin and MP will get a chance to find out where all the other truth-seekers who trashed the authorities on air before him have gone. And this will surely shock him even more than the revealed lawlessness and lack of justice.
