A new attempt to bring Linux to a smartphone can now be pre-ordered. The Pinephone is a collaboration between Pine Microsystems and UBports – together they present the “Community: Edition: UBport” of the Pinephone, which is to be delivered pre-installed with Ubuntu-Touch. How Heise reports, the “Community Edition: UBports” should accommodate the smartphone with developers and boost the financial situation.
