Two Frisians and a resident of Groningen were injured in an accident on the Jeverweg in Groningen on Saturday evening. Police could not say whether the accident occurred during a street race.
What exactly happened is still unclear. The police are not yet able to provide an explanation. Nor can the police say whether it is a street race that has gotten out of hand. Both pimped cars were badly damaged on the 50 kilometer road.
The three injured are a 21-year-old driver from Veenwouden, a 26-year-old driver from the municipality of Dantumadeel and a 22-year-old man from Groningen. De Stadjer was a passenger in one of the cars.
After the accident, the victims were transferred to the Martini Hospital and the UMCG.
