Vaccination against the corona virus in the job center: This is possible today in the Hamburg district of Wilhelmsburg. Around 600 people who receive Hartz IV there receive their injections from a mobile vaccination team directly at the authority. The aim of the pilot project is to reach more people, even in poorer neighborhoods.
The team from “Hamburg vaccft” has set up a small vaccination center where files are usually piled up on tables. The long line in front of the entrance shows how great the interest is in the offer. The job center had informed all of its beneficiaries about the offer by letter. They could then book their appointment online via the job center’s website, just as they would otherwise for a consultation. In a few days the appointments were taken.

Especially people in precarious situations often have poorer health care, as Social Senator Melanie Leonhard (SPD) said. You would therefore need good vaccination protection. Experience has shown, however, that these people often find it difficult to take advantage of offers that are not in the vicinity of their place of residence, said the Senator.
Possibly soon also offers in other job centers
Vaccination is done with the product from Johnson & Johnson, a tip of this vaccine is enough for full immune protection. The offer should also be available in other job center locations if there is enough vaccine for it.
