Pilot phase of the instant payment system: 11 banks in Burkina are participating

So, the Monday August 12, 2024A further sixty-five (65) participants entered the pilot phase, bringing the total number of participating institutions to eighty (90), including sixty-seven ( 67) banks, nine (9) electronic money institutions (EME) and fourteen (14). ) decentralized financial systems (DFS).

By country of establishment, they are:

  • Orabank
  • UBA
  • BCB
  • COFINA
  • CORIS BANK
  • Baobab
  • BOA
  • Orange Finance mobile
  • ACEP
  • CBAO

As a reminder, this pilot phase will allow the BCEAO to test the interoperable system and the partners to ensure that their systems work according to the defined specifications, an important step before opening services to the public which is to come.

The instant payment infrastructure is interoperable, working continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, capable of handling any type of transaction, regardless of account type.
