The captain of a Turkish Airlines flight from Seattle to Istanbul died Wednesday after falling ill, causing his plane to make an emergency landing in New York.
« The captain of our Airbus 350 (…) TK204 plane went down during the flight. After a failed attempt at first aid, our cockpit decided to make an emergency landing, but our captain lost his life before landing.“, Turkish Airlines spokesman Yahya Üstün said.
The pilot, aged 59, had passed a routine medical check-up in early March, the Turkish company said on the X network.
